Meet the Tax Barbarian!

As a child, my love of numbers and puzzles was always apparent. I could absorb numbers and equations like a sponge.  So when it came time to pick a career it was an accountant or a math teacher.  I love kids but not sure I have enough patience to teach most people's most hated subject for the rest of my life, so I chose accounting.  I have worked in accounting for 30+ years working my way up from accounts payables and receivables up to cost accounting.  I enjoyed the numbers of accounting but something was always missing for me.  People!  So in 2004, I took a tax class at a large tax preparation company.  The tax bug bit and I found my calling.  In my ten year, I went from a 'newbie' doing basic individual tax returns to a master tax advisor doing business, estates, trusts, and complicated individual returns.  I earned two credentials with the IRS, Enrolled Agent and Certified Accepting Agent.  To fulfill my desire to teach, I became an instructor of taxation in 2007 teaching other tax professionals.  I love helping people!  Helping them work through the numbers, puzzles, and help them understand their tax situation better, how to improve it, and maybe, just maybe, they would learn a little about taxation from me and  have a little fun along the way.  Finally in 2025, it was time to spread my wings and The Tax Barbarian was unleashed.
